José Miguel Sancho Marco (Zaragoza, 1954)
Architect licensed in E.T.S.A. University of Navarra in 1978. He began his professional career in the Peruvian Altiplano where he completed several self-built housing projects with existing materials from within their natural environment, medical centers etc. He later returned to Spain where he has developed his professional career. He served as Chairman of the Delegation of the Zaragoza Professional association of Architects (Aragon) from May 1996 to December 1998. During this time, in which he collaborated with Zaragoza Strategic Planning and its area of influence (Ebropolis), The idea of an underground rail access network was conceived, from the Professional association of Architects (Aragon) coinciding with the arrival of the high speed train. Therefore, leading from this initiative, an urban plot of land measuring over one million square meters was redeveloped for city use. This land was of vital importance for the siting of the Expo 2008 along the banks of the river Ebro passing through the city.
Throughout his professional career, he has designed residential buildings, offices, hotels, public and private ameneties, urban planning and design of urban spaces.
